so catching up today... whew it was a LONG day!
first thing this morning i got to snugga bug with my kensey k... that was the best part of the day, we finally got out of the bed and she had me prepare her an area to paint... she loves to paint in the mornings, she says the light is best ( hee hee i am sure she has heard me say that once before about photography ) and then we decided to venture out to wally world to get adhesive spray to FINALLY put a back on the bookcase in the dining room. i have been searching forever for the 'right' fabric/paper to put on the back of the case and lo' and behold i found some wrapping paper at target last night that i liked! so setting out to wally world we decided to stop by sonic for some refreshing drinks, sat there for a bit, called my mom and talked to her and then went to start the car... n.o.t.h.i.n.g

it then became apparent that the car was not going to start... called tom

*i forgot to mention that my phone was about to die and i do not have a car charger, not that it would start anyway right?*
so.... tom had to come up to sonic ( 20 min. later may i add ) and same thing... he went to go get our friend chris and they ended up jumping the car thinking it was the battery - 2 hours later K and i are driving home so tom can go get a new battery for the car... no wally world :(
while tom was gone K and i pitched a homemade tent in the backyard and had a mini session while she had some fun under the sun - you can catch the pics here and then when the car was fixed ( thank you Chris! ) we headed to wally world and got that adhesive spray! when we got back i made dinner and K finished up some portraits of us she had been painting for the living room... i just ♥ them! better than any family portraits we have ever had done hands down! and i must say... this painting of me makes me happy... it is amazing that she views me as that pretty when i have such a bad self image of myself... leave it to children to put us back into perspective right?
ok so this next part of the story... let me just say adhesive spray + wrapping paper = no fun
i had to stick and re stick plenty of times and the whole time i was in fear of tearing the paper, my hands are a sticky mess and there are creases in the paper... sure it looks ok in the pics but i am waiting until morning when the light comes through the window and spotlights all my mistakes! great idea just not a good follow through!
