yesterday K and I visited the local library for a After School Adventure program. K loved the library and the program and i am kicking myself for not thinking of taking her there before now! we always just frequent Barnes & Nobles and get our books from there... let's face is, the child has oodles of books and is not deprived from that area of life... but she reads too darn fast! i remember growing up how i loved to read... i still do, when i can find time! i loved reading so much that when i got in trouble, books were the thing my parents took away! can you believe that!? grounded from books! if you knew me and knew how much i read, you would totally understand!
so we are going back today b/c k says she wants to go on her homework days and do her homework there because... get this, she says " i think it has a more pleasant environment than the house " ahahahaha! ok whatever floats your boat... i can get some reading done while we are there!
today... it is cold, dark and dreary out and i am going to curl up on the couch and have a hot cup of cocoa and dive into a new book!

My mom used to take books away from me too :/ Didn't happen very often, but when it did I knew I was in BIG trouble!
hahaha! well today after looking at K's closet disaster, I opted to not take her to the library after school... I see a pattern
