Why House on the Hill?
When we moved to Arkansas we planned to purchase our very first home! I was super excited and had exactly what I wanted for every room in mind... well after looking at a number of homes and living with our best friends, I was desperate to find our house! We came upon this house with a VERY steep driveway and I just fell in love... it is missing a lot of what I wanted but in exchange it offers me so much more... I can make this house my own and turn it into our home and even though we may not live here for the rest of our lives ( my hubby is military ) I plan to treat it just as I would the home we end up retiring in.
So with everything going on in my life and my family... I opted to just throw a free blogger template up and a lovely one too might I add! I will update it when I get a chance to make it more "my own" but first I wanted to put up a initial post.
I have a lot going on and it helps to talk about it every now and then and Lord knows I can talk! So to spare my husband and my best friend, I will be blogging about my busy life.
Things you will see on this blog:
God: I am a Christ loving woman and will post scripture every chance I get!
Food: My daughter and I will be "flirting" with Vegan foods and will hopefully be Vegans by the end of the year, I have my reasons for this and will blog about it. You can check out The Kind Life blog, this book was a gift from my Mom and got me thinking about this lifestyle.
Photography: I am a professional photographer and although I have a photo blog for my business, you will see and hear about a few things from time to time :) I am also doing a 365 project where I take 1 picture a day, so I will be posting my weekly 365 at the end of the week.
Home Decor: I am all about decorating ones home and I tend to change things out A LOT. I also make things and find a great deal of my decor at thrift stores and flea markets.
Crafts: I am all about some craftiness! I am participating in The Great Create this year and will be posting about our monthly projects and the crafts we receive!
There will probably be a TON more that I will talk about b/c like I mentioned I LOVE TO TALK! But to leave you with a mental picture and something to remind you to come back and catch up on what we are doing on this hill....
365 : This year I am working on a Photography 365. What you do is take 1 photo a day to document your year. It is never too late to start so jump on in!

I think we're gonna get a snow day tomorrow... oh, who am I kidding? I get a snow day every day. :)

we did have a snow day again lol today looks like all the snow is melting but that only means it will freeze tonight and they will probably cancel school tomorrow... we shall see!
