clean it up! ll kensers room

A few of you who follow me on facebook may have seen the mess in my Kensers closet about a week ago - my child... the hoarder ( although I am not allowed to say that to her because it really hurt her feelings ). So over the weekend Kensey and I set out to clean it up once and for all ( actually we do this every few months, seriously she accumulates that much stuff in that little of time! ). We got pretty much all of it done by the end of Sunday but still had a few more things we had to do to get it looking "picture perfect". I also have been holding on to a few thrift store finds for K's room and finally got a chance to put those up and to use. We have been so bored with the past two snow days and being stuck in the house almost gets you batty! You can only watch so many movies and do so many crafts before you just have to do something else. We did go outside today with plans to build a snowman but the snow is melting and it was just a muddy mess. We are really hoping for no snow day tomorrow, K really loves school and wants to go back and I have a Tots in Motion class to teach with my best friend Lynsey at the Community Center on base tomorrow ( yes shameless plug! ).

 But back to K's room...so here are the results!

the outside of the closets - K worked really hard on the chalkboard yesterday and I love what she did! It really makes me feel like God is directing me as a parent and her as a child of Christ when I see her do things like this!

Vintage typewriter I found at the Airman's Attic on base for free! I plan on finding ink for this so K can practice her typing.

What is an Airman's Attic? It is kind of like a Goodwill for military but the items are free and the quantity depends on your rank. The people that run the Airman's Attic are truly amazing people! They are volunteers and make sure that all items donated are clean and organized for your "shopping" experience! Check out your local Airman's Attic and start donating to them!

K always has so many pictures and artwork laying around and she hates to throw them out and I just don't have the heart to either. Instead of cluttering up the fridge, I made this "show all" for her.

That is Cousin Lizziebeth... she is a silly one and is majoring in Theater. Kensey sometimes writes to her and just adores her!
